Candy Cabs is a comedy drama series shown on BBC One in April 2011. The plot revolves around a group of friends who set up a female-only taxi company in a seaside town in Northern England. It is written by Johanne McAndrew and Elliott Hope and produced by Splash Media. The second series is to begin filming in October 2013.

Season 1:
Following the death of Shazzia, the two friends continue with their dream of opening the all female cab company. Dennis, Shazza's ex, turns up though to disrupt their lives. Elaine finds it hard to keep her secret from her husband. There is some unexpected romance for Jackie.
Business is improving after Jackie and Elaine's television appearance.When footballer Eddie Shannon books Candy Cabs to provide the transport for his wedding at the local stadium the girls are happy. Dennis attempts to get back into Witney's good books after she's left out of the wedding arrangements. After the bride-to-be Kendra goes missing following the hen night, the girls look like they could be part of a PR disaster.
Jackie and Elaine end up going on a spying mission and after the find out Tony's little secret they are shocked. Before they can get their heads around what they have discovered, they have to go to an employment tribunal where they face a charge of discrimination against men. As they attempt to create more business, they believe they have found the answer when they get a trial run with Girls On The Go, an all-female Seniors' Club. Things don't go to plan though on a trip to a local garden centre. Elaine attempts to get Jackie to agree to keep Tony onside until the discrimination tribunal is over but she finds it hard to keep things together over what they have discovered. Unable to keep quiet, Jackie ends up confronting Tony. Jackie ends up decides that desperate times call for desperate measures at the tribunal much to Elaine's shock.
