Season 1:
Jeff, Bill and Larry have set a trap for Beaumont Boudreaux, a fugitive survivalist who lives in Skeeter Swamp, but when their sting operation goes awry, Boudreaux escapes in a stolen minivan. The boys chase him into the swamp where his car gets a flat and he flees into the brush. As they get ready to search the swamp for Boudreaux, Jeff discovers there's a baby in the stolen minivan. Day stretches into night, and the challenges of caring for a crying baby and catching Boudreaux test the guys' friendship and ability to work as a team.
The guys track their newest bounty, Jersey Joe Antiorio, to Rebel Land, a Southern-themed amusement park. But when they get there, they run into Jeff's ex-wife, Stacy, with her new husband, Nathan, and Jeff's son, Colby. Bill and Larry split off to find Jersey Joe. Jeff, meanwhile, spends the day with Stacy, Nathan and Colby so he can be there for his son's all-important first visit to the park. When tensions boil over between Jeff, Stacy and Nathan, Colby runs off and gets himself trapped on a roller coaster. Jeff and Nathan have to act fast and work together to rescue Colby.
At a family dinner, Larry inadvertently insults his wife Amber's parents, who already are not fans of his. In an effort to make amends, Larry tries to impress them by showing off his super strength, but breaks his hands in the process. Meanwhile, Bill and Jeff are unable to apprehend their bounty Max Bowser, a gigantic bouncer. They call in Larry for muscle, but without his hands, he's easily beaten. Amber's father, Robert, sees that Larry needs help. Despite his dislike for Larry, Robert decides to train him in the ways of tai chi. When Bill and Jeff get captured by the scary bouncer and his scary brothers, they rely on Larry and his newly acquired martial arts skills to save them.
Bill is swept up in a whirlwind romance when he's picked up by a beautiful, mysterious woman named Daisy. But Jeff is suspicious of her. Daisy seems like she's hiding something. Bill thinks Jeff is just being jealous. When Lisa and Jeff team up to investigate, they discover Daisy is a pig thief and a fugitive. Suddenly, Bill is forced to choose between his oldest buddies and his new girl.
The guys are searching for a local lowlife when Jeff is forced to take his irresponsible father Jesco along on the bounty hunt. Meanwhile, Stacy gets roped into throwing an anniversary party for Jeff's parents. On the bounty hunt, Jesco's and Jeff's differences come to a head. Jesco takes off in the company truck, leaving Jeff, Bill and Larry stranded in the wilderness with no ride and no way to catch their bounty. Jeff is furious with his father. Later, at the anniversary party, Jesco shows up with a surprise that redeems him and helps Jeff accept his flaws.
Frustrated with Jeff's penny-pinching ways, Larry leaves Barton Bounty Hunters for a job with their archrival -- showboating bounty hunter Buck Masters. Larry imagined he'd be firing rocket launchers and rappelling from helicopters at his new job, but in reality, he's a glorified water boy. When Larry catches a prized fugitive, he must choose between handing him over to his new boss Buck Masters or his old friends at Barton Bounty Hunters.
Lisa's shady ex-boyfriend Hutch returns to town and sweeps Lisa off her feet once again. At first, the guys are happy for her, but soon their lives are turned upside down. Hutch is a nefarious bully who starts running Lisa's company and squeezing the guys' commissions. Their company won't survive if Lisa marries Hutch as planned. The guys investigate Hutch and discover he's marrying Lisa so he can pay off gambling debts. The guys try to stop the wedding before it's too late for her -- and them.
After Bill gets called a "bounty hunter wannabe" on the local news, he decides he should make an arrest for the first time. But when given the opportunity, he screws up and the guys get clobbered. Dejected, Bill quits the team. Determined to help him win his confidence back, Jeff and Larry convince a fugitive and former professional wrestler named Steroid Lloyd to let Bill capture him. But when Lloyd changes his mind and tries to escape, Bill shows what he's really made of.
Jeff hasn't dated since his divorce two years ago, but all that changes when Larry's sister Lori comes to town. They start a heated, secret affair behind Larry's back, knowing that he'd explode with rage if he found out. One day, Larry catches them fooling around, but instead of getting angry, he's thrilled. He assumes Jeff and his sister are going to get married. As the thrill of their secret romance fades, Jeff and Lori have to find a way to break the bad news to Larry without breaking his heart.
Bill's scheme to date women in prison hits a snag when he's invited by three separate ladies to the same Chain Gang Hoedown dance. However, his luck changes when the bounty they're chasing, a bank robber by the name of Jackson Diamond, also plans to attend the hoedown. Now, Jeff and Larry have to join Bill to get into the event and catch their bounty.
While working undercover at a chop shop, Larry gets caught up in the world of demolition derbies.
Two years ago, Jeff was fired from the Skeeter Creek police by his archrival Smits, the corrupt chief of police. Jeff still hasn't gotten over it. So when he learns a crazed fugitive named Rooster is also wanted by Smits, Jeff plans to catch him first. While trying to make the arrest, Jeff winds up getting into a fight with Smits. Rooster seizes the opportunity and takes them both hostage. Now they have to work together to escape and arrest Rooster.
