Season 1:
Frustrated by a former beau who takes things too seriously, Riki becomes involved with a fellow comedian in the hopes that their senses of humor will be more of a match. Meanwhile, Kate has to audition for a movie role against a major star that’s outside of her comfort zone while also trying to figure out the most inconspicuous way to end a relationship.
Riki and Kate must compete with their porn star doppelgangers Chevrolet and Epiphany to write a song for one of their favorite TV shows. The ladies also do their best to survive a corporate gig that takes a turn for the worst.

Riki and Kate have their milestone 1000th show together as Garfunkel and Oates. Once they arrive at the venue, everything that could go wrong does with a determined heckler and an audio guy with major attitude who make it difficult for them to perform.
Riki and Kate don wigs in their opposite hair colors to see how blondes and brunettes are treated differently.
Riki and Kate are paid a surprise visit by their bitter ex-bandmate who is now a bigmovie star. She attempts to make their lives miserable as revenge for getting kicked out of the band. Meanwhile, to celebrate their “bandaversay,” Kate and Riki decide to get their weed cards.
After attending her friend’s baby sprinkle, Riki is anxious that she’s becoming too old to conceive and plans a visit to a fertility doctor. Also, a therapist tells Kate that she has “Peter Pan Syndrome” and needs to grow up, leading her to question if she needs to make some drastic life changes.
Suffering from an increased libido from her fertility drugs, Riki attempts to rekindle a romance with an ex-boyfriend. Kate has romantic problems of her own when she gets matched up with a high school student after her therapist tells her todate someone who’s at the same level of emotional maturity as she is.
