Season 1:
Jung-ho and Yeon-hee, the modern-day royal family, started preparing for the future of their 20-year-old son, In-sang, who has never rebelled since he was born. But last spring, he fell head over heels for Seo Bom, a standard-bearer for the common person. They are both committed to playing with an unrelenting fire
Yeon-hee is giving Jung-ho a head massage like any other night when something unexpectedly surprises them. In-sang brings a fully pregnant Bom to their house. He gives a shuddering testimony to his parents saying that her pregnancy was a fruit of their love.
Due to Jung-ho's impregnable control, he imprisoned Bom and separated her from In-sang. As the savior of Bom and In-sang, the considerate butler Mr. Park, has something in the works.
For reasons unknown Bom and In-sang's love story has Yeon-hee feeling painfully nervous about the suspicious stories going around. Could there be a breach in the home's communication security? Watching the situation unfold, Jung-ho decides to implement Plan B.
Jung-ho and Yeon-hee are so upset by their son's sudden change in attitude that they are hiding their tears. However, no one can mess with the power and honor of their home. Jung-ho holds back his tears while declaring he supports their pure love and that he's going to Plan C.
Under Jung-ho and Yeon-hee's strict rules, they are ready to make Bom an educated and civilized person through discipline and enlightenment.
The battles from the past day have left wounds up and down Jung-ho's body and also offended Yeon-hee. Jung-ho, who has no room for retreat, quickly calms his mind and directs Plan D to his secretary, Ms. Yang, in a rational and calm manner.
Because Jung-ho still lives in the past, he acts like a jerk in front of an angry Yeon-hee. Although he knows the ways of the courts, he doesn't know the ways of his wife. Jung-ho sends a distress signal to someone to calm down Yeon-hee.
Spring (Bom) is finally here. With Jung-ho's many troubled plans behind him, he decides to support Bom as his dream project.
As Jin-young's luxurious 100-day party comes to an end, Bom, In-sang, and Jin-young finally visit Bom's family as an official family.
Jung-ho dislikes how the everyday life of ordinary people has left a big impression on In-sang. Min Joo-young and Yoo Shin-young have to make up their minds on their covert operation.
Bom, who has become the royal Han family's princess, has begun the first phase of separating herself from her family.
Bom is worried Hyung-sik, who accepted Jung-ho's money with pleasure, will fail with his investment with it, so she asks Jung-ho for help. However, Hyung-sik is not the only person that is causing worry. Jin-ae is embarrassed by Noo-ri's desperation to move up the social ladder by not turning down anything.
Jung-ho and Yeon-hee believe what they heard through the grapevines of Noo-ri's actions has hurt the family's honor. The Han family's goal is to protect Bom from her family for eugenics. They believe it will keep the good fortunes of their family.
After becoming the center of attention for a scandal with a tycoon's son, Noo-ri has suddenly become a cable TV star, and Ms. Yang's quick thinking manages to create a scenario that saves the faces of Noo-ri and the Han family.
Bom and In-sang have discovered the real Jung-ho is Han Jung-ho the leader of Hansong, and not Han Jung-ho the head of the Han family. Bom and In-sang struggle with approaching his essence.
Yeon-hee, who shows superhuman patience, was hit hard with shame because Jung-ho, who has problems with his empathy, makes an obvious plea for love for another woman in front of her friends. Watching the situation unfold, Yeon-hee begins to quietly sharpen her knife.
Even after his late puberty passes, Jung-ho is still persistent about acting foolishly. Yeon-hee thinks that Jung-ho is being pathetic, so she punishes him by using the rules and elegance she learned from Shim Myung-ji, her late mother-in-law.
Jung-ho and Yeon-hee were caught off their guard for a moment because of their emotions. After recovering and finding their sanity, they respond strongly to Bom and In-sang's manipulations. However, trying to win against one's child is not easy.
Yeon-hee decides that she will uphold and protect the pedigree of the Han family by reenacting Shim Myung-ji's strict rules.
Hyun-soo wants to become closer with In-sang, so she provides him with information. In-sang visits Jae-hoon to get this information analyzed professionally.
Yeon-hee has noticed that something strange is going on between the kids of the Han family and the staff. She begins to feel resentment building and to resolve this unbearable family situation, Jung-ho has come to a decision and gathered In-sang, Bom, and Yi-ji together in one place.
Jung-ho and Yeon-hee believe the source of the Han family's ruin is Bom's family, so they try to get rid of her. Bom tries to accept this situation in a calm manner. Yi-ji, who is embarrassed by her parents' actions, calls Jung-soon crying.
In order to stamp out In-sang and Yi-ji's rebellion, Jung-ho and Yeon-hee disclose the details of the inherited property that their heir will receive. The size of the inheritance is far larger than In-sang imagined. Bom and In-sang are in agony as they go back to Bom's family.
Bom sends In-sang back to his home and holds back her tears while getting ready to face her struggles alone. Meanwhile, In-sang meets Bom after asking he asks Jung-ho to leave everything to him.
In-sang is upset with Jung-ho and Yeon-hee, who has infringed on his own right to the divorce proceedings, so he visits Bom to confirm his feelings for her. Meanwhile, Jung-ho, the head of Hansong, is trying to take care of his employees who are rebelling against him but seem to suffer instead.
The first priority for Jung-ho was to take care of Min Joo-hwan. Ms. Yang, who came back from meeting Mr. Min, gives Min Joo-young an envelope that causes her to become angry. Meanwhile, Hyun-soo wanted to see first-hand how Bom lived, so she visits the Han family and yells at Yeon-hee and Young-ra for involving her.
Jung-ho is trying to build a defense against the Supernova incident that Yoo Shin-young and Yoon Jae-hoon have centered their attack on. Meanwhile, after soaking himself in the Han river, In-sang, who is struggling with his ideals and reality, goes to find Bom.
Jung-ho and Yeon-hee insist that the fastest way to bring In-sang back home is to be indifferent. However, the two of them make a fuss to see their grandson Jin-young, so they both set up their own plans to see him.
Yeon-hee wants to get rid of the current house staff, so she interviews new candidates but does not like any of them. As Min Joo-young leaves Hansong, she tells Jung-ho that In-sang will not come back to him.
