Police traffic photographer Roman is devastated when his father is killed in a hit-and-run accident, but could his video recording help the Criminal Investigation Department identify the culprits?
Having joined the elite crime squad, Roman must complete his training and, while video-recording a wedding ceremony for his mother, he finds a surprising clue to the identity of a gang of bank robbers.
When Roman's former girlfriend Lenka is reported missing, he goes out searching for her alone and discovers that, as part of her studies, she had been working on a film about an ex-convict.
The team are under pressure to track down the murderer of a woman whose limbs have been found in the Vltava river. All circumstantial evidence points to her husband, but does he have a motive?
To track down the murderer of a former workmate, Roman's colleague Tomas infiltrates a gang of drug dealers, but during the police round-up operation, the leader of the criminals manages to escape.
Barta sends Roman, Borek and Nikola to investigate the shocking murders of a number of hitchhikers, but the perpetrator is devious and manages to evade the police, so Nikola decides to lay a trap.
Dangerous criminal Dyml is on the scene again, but somebody is using a mobile phone to record the crimes committed by his drug dealing gang and sending the footage to Barta's police team.
