Season 1:
Miroku stops attending school and rarely speaks or leaves his room. However, he is prompted to act when he discovers an underage prostitution ring.
While Miroku debates what he wants to do to Hikaru, the criminal organization she reports to wants to have a word with him about his interest in her.
Back when Miroku had an office job and was already an aspiring writer, he met a man named Sudo at work who was unlike anyone he had ever met before.
Ameya finishes confessing his long and sordid history with Echika to Miroku. Meanwhile, Goi has Miroku in his sights and is quickly closing in on him.
Goi keeps working on the case. He takes Miroku through the hospital to the room holding Risa's mother, who is barely alive, and watches his reaction.
After Goi finishes up his visit, Miroku tries to contact Echika. When she does not respond to his phone call, he tries to find her at her apartment.
