Season 1:
A young man living in a shack has mastered the art of making noodles. When a disheveled fellow his age knocks on his door looking for shelter, he takes him in. The decision leads to his demise, but also to the birth of his son, who prevails through miserable hardship to grow into a real man.
Moo Myung can't control his temptations, and he travels to Namsun. This causes turmoil in the house. Ha Jung Tae is trying to expand his dynasty into Gangnam.

A terrible accident leads to the dissolution of the group, and another change in trajectory for all of them. As Gil Do begins to build his Gangnam dynasty, he continues to search for Choi Soon Suk.
Kim Dae Ha makes her presence felt by writing an opinion piece challenging the prowess of a nationally-famous food critic that Kim Gil Do wants to win over. The critic, Seol Mi Ja, invites Kim Dae Ha to eat lunch with her at her famous noodle place; "Fish Noodles," Moo Myung's new private restaurant.
Kim Gil Do's resentful wife proves to be an issue for him, as he realizes his foes are plentiful and utilizing one another as resources. Moo Myung doesn't know if he can trust Seol Mi Ja.
Moo Myung has a plan to ruin Goong Rak Won's anniversary party. Senator Choi finds himself right in the middle of a battle he doesn't even know about. The bar exam and Tae Ha's release date are finally here.
Goong Rak Won is on the decline. Madame Go asks for Madame Seol's help to save the restaurant's managerial rights from going back into the hands of Master Ha.
Kim Gil Do's name is revealed by an unexpected enemy. Chief Hwang's last chance to save himself is to reveal Moo Myung's true identity, but Kim Gil Do doesn't know who to believe.
Moo Myung is infiltrating deeper, and earning Master Ha's trust. Meanwhile, Madame Go is doubting everything she thought she knew about Kim Da Hae. Political inclinations are starting to ruminate.
Tae Ha is warned of the danger of his new role, and is tested immediately. Whether they know him as Kim Gil Do or Ha Jung Tae, everyone is after the master noodle-maker.
Tae Ha and Yeo Kyung go face to face inside of Goong Rak Won. The confrontation leads to a bitter truth between the two, and unveils the new person that Tae Ha has become.
In the span of a few days, Go Dae Chun's role in Da Hae and Master Ha's lives changes drastically. Moo Myung and Chae Yeo Kyung meet in person.
With the loss of a fundamental member of Goong Rak Won, the nature of stakeholder's relationships have changed. Dae Ha struggles with what to do next.
Master Ha's plan to give Moo Myung his own place has the potential to backfire. Now he needs to test the loyalty of those around him.
Moo Myung is planning an internal conspiracy, and he wants the stakeholders back on his side.
Chae Yeo Kyung makes a deal with Do Kkoo, but it's her deal with Master Ha that could get her in trouble. Moo Myung needs to hurry up his plan.
Master Ha's world rapidly crumbles to shambles, as Moo Myung boots him from his office. Master Ha works to not allow this to interfere with his political plans, but the prosecutor's office has other ideas.
Master Ha's latest move has positioned him to propel into a senator's seat, but first he has to succeed on live TV. His enemies have other plans for his final TV appearance as a member of Goong Rak Won.
In the season finale, everyone wants answers about Tae Ha. In the end, it comes down to a standoff between good and evil.
