Season 1:
Top actor Shin Joonyoung has a sudden change of heart and refuses to die in the last episode of his show -- for a reason that no one else knows about.
In a flashback to 2006, high schooler Joonyoung learns why his mom had to raise him alone. No Eul, also in high school, witnesses a terrible accident.
Joonyoung's manager finds out about Eul's dire financial state and tells Joonyoung, who tries not to be concerned but can't help thinking about her.
Eul visits Joonyoung to discuss the documentary, but he changes his mind -- again. Choi Jitae is dating Yoon Jeongeun despite having no feelings for her.
Eul puts herself at risk of getting fired from the documentary crew. Later, she half-jokingly confesses her feelings to Park Hyeonwoo.
With Joonyoung and Eul making headlines, Joonyoung is nowhere to be found. His management is frantically looking, but not even Eul knows where he is.
Joonyoung's sudden change in attitude toward Eul has her convinced she made a mistake while drunk, but she can't remember what she did wrong.
Joonyoung is intent on winning Eul's heart. He runs into Jitae while visiting Eul and begins to sense something suspicious about Jitae.
With everyone thinking Joonyoung is dating Kim Yoona, Eul continues to shoot her documentary. Jitae urges his mom to tell Dad the truth about everything.
After a phone argument with his mom, Joonyoung ditches the K-Pop Festival and spots Eul driving a van, speeding toward Choi Hyeonjoon.
Jitae asks his father to release Eul. Joonyoung tells his mom about the things Hyeonjoon did to Eul years ago and why he quit law school.
Joonyoung plans to reclaim justice for Eul by exposing her dad's real killer. Jeongeun gets extremely distraught when Jitae doesn't show up.
Eul is hurt by Joonyoung's cold demeanor. Jitae's mother informs him that Jeongeun will take over his director status, but he seems unconcerned.
Jeongeun visits Joonyoung to turn down his necklace gift but faces embarrassment. Jitae's mother hands Eul money, telling her to get away from Jitae.
Joonyoung asks Jeongeun to try and seduce him. Jitae tries to see Eul, but she won't meet him. Eul visits Joonyoung to say goodbye.
Joonyoung's doctor calls him to say Eul came by to ask about his condition. Eul wishes to rejoin the documentary team, but Joonyoung pushes her away.
Angry that Jeongeun got stood up by Jitae, her father intends to cut all ties with his family but learns that she is already dating someone else.
As Eul watches on, Joonyoung completes his first -- which is also his last -- item on his bucket list. Soon after, the police arrive to arrest him.
Eul hands over the USB containing the video of Jeongeun and Joonyoung to Hyeonjoon, asking him to return it before the scheduled airing.
The news reports a shocking video that mysteriously appeared on the internet. Meanwhile, Joonyoung's memory loss is quickly worsening.
