Season 1:
Gyeon Woo's pleasure at returning home from abroad is cut short when his attempt to help out a drunk woman leads to an unfortunate misunderstanding.
After Princess Hye-myeong shames Gyeon Woo as a pervert, he is left with no choice but to help her find her lost ring.
Gyeon Woo and Hye-myeong take risks to find the ring. Gyeon Woo discovers it's with an unexpected person and goes to the lantern festival to get it back.
The king receives an ominous message by arrow, and searches for the sender. Gyeon Woo goes to save Hye-myeong and is wounded.
After the princess is caught up in scandal, the king locks her in her room. Gyeon Woo becomes curious about the previous owner of Hye-myeong's ring.
Gyeon Woo hides the princess from a dangerous man who's searching for her. She ends up being found somewhere surprising.
The man the princess waits for is in danger, and vanished before her eyes. Ignoring the king's orders, she sets out to look for him.
The king's court makes an appeal for him to dethrone the princess. With his lofty position on the line, Gyeon Woo chooses to keep Hye-myeong's secret.
The Prince of Qing comes to propose to the princess. Caught between love and duty, Gyeon Woo has no choice but to accompany them.
The prince expresses his deep feelings for the princess and prepares for a big day. Gyeon Woo investigates how this arranged marriage came about.
The Prince of Qing returns home, and the king decided to interrogate a conspirator. Gyeon Wop and Hye-myeong both suffer from mysterious nightmares.
Gyeon Woo goes to meet an informant, but appears to come back empty-handed. He is torn over whether to tell Hye-myeong the truth.
Gyeon Woo and Hye-myeong go in pursuit of the masked man who could put pressure on Jung Ki-jun. However, the king plans to find him first.
After blacking out, Gyeon Woo recalls that he was connected to the deposed queen. Kang Jun-yeong interrogates the person who threatened the masked man.
Gyeon Woo reveals some incriminating evidence that throws the king into anguish. The queen is questioned closely about her past actions.
Ki-jun is driven into a frenzy when masked men appear, and is shocked when one of the men removes his mask. Hye-myeong has an unexpected reunion.
