Season 1:
Host Rita Ora welcomes 30 of the best young male vocalists in the country to Hollywood, where they audition before musical icons Emma Bunton, Nick Carter and Timbaland. Only 18 performers will make the cut and advance to the next round. Thus begins the mixing and matching, as the architects form three groups of six to compete in the next phase of the competition.
In the second week of competition, we follow another group of six young vocalists as they come together to form the band, Reverb, and perform on stage for Architects Emma Bunton, Nick Carter and Timbaland. The Architects are then faced with deciding which member of the band will go home while the remaining five continue on their journey to stardom.

In the first LIVE episode of the season, “Boy Band” will celebrate #1 song, opening the show with a tribute to the greatest boy bands of all time. Then we will follow three new groups of five as they rehearse and prepare to perform LIVE before architects Emma Bunton, Nick Carter and Timbaland. The architects are then faced with the arduous task of selecting the bottom two contestants who will perform “battle songs” before America, hoping to earn a majority of votes that will keep them in the competition. Audiences at home will vote live to determine which young vocalist is safe and will continue on their journey to stardom.
In this week’s live episode, the remaining 14 contestants open the show with the 1983 Billy Joel hit “Uptown Girl.” Then, three new groups will perform timeless hits “Livin’ on a Prayer,” made popular by Bon Jovi, Cyndi Lauper’s “True Colors” and the Rolling Stones’ classic “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.” Architects Emma Bunton, Nick Carter and Timbaland will critique their performances and select the bottom two who are up for elimination. Audiences at home will then vote, live, and decide who will stay and who will go.
The remaining 13 boy band hopefuls perform iconic songs from the greatest movies of our time. Then we follow three new bands as they learn new songs, new harmonies and continue to build new bonds with their bandmates. Each of the bands will perform, live, before architects Emma Bunton, Nick Carter and Timbaland, who will critique their performances and select the bottom two vocalists who are up for elimination. Audiences at home will then vote, live, and decide who will stay and who will go.
The remaining 11 boy band hopefuls pull at the heartstrings as they take on iconic break up songs. We follow three new bands as they learn new songs, new harmonies and continue to build new bonds with their bandmates.
