Season 1:
When the inexperienced football coach Selma Nord takes over Vinninge BK, the team is in last place in division 7 Södra Skåne (South Skåne). Selma immediately finds herself at odds with the star player of the team Roy "Kroyf" Andersson, who is skeptical of the new coach's abilities and goes on strike. The team spirit is in jeopardy, and the situation gets worse when the owners of the team's home field threaten to turn it into a sugar beet plantation once the season's over. Now Selma has to win Kroyf over to her side.
It turns out that Kroyf's old classmate Annelie is coaching an opposing team, and her interest in Kroyf isn't purely related to football. Kroyf becomes stressed by her advances and turns to Selma for support. Selma, who is busy trying to get the team on a healthier diet - fennel juice and clay-colored smoothies are the order of the day - calms him. But the situation changes when Kroyf receives a concrete and despicable proposal that could affect the team. Kroyf's dilemma sorely tests Vinninge BK.
A certain Henrik Larsson offers his services to Vinninge BK and the balance of power on the team changes. Kroyf, used to being in the spotlight, is suddenly to take a step back. The rest of the team are so star-struck at getting to play with the famous Celtic striker that they don't notice when the resentful Kroyf makes a desperate attempt to take revenge. But what's the deal with Henrik Larsson, is he really as humble as he appears? And is it really such a good idea for Vanko to give away a full-grown goat to his best friend?
When it becomes clear that the Vinninge's biggest hater Reine is going to officiating the next game, the team prepare themselves for defeat. But Selma doesn't accept the team's defeatist attitude and decides to do all she can to win the referee over to her side. Will she succeed, or is the relationship between the referee and Vinninge BK beyond repair? And how can the Bossen's newfound interest in poisonous Peruvian frogs affect the outcome?
When a 25-year-old IT billionaire retires to Vinninge to write his memoirs, Selma sees a golden opportunity - a new sponsor. And it turns out the young billionaire is easy to convince. But the wunderkind proves as temperamental as he is rich, and when he takes an interest in the team, Selma gets caught between the sponsor's demands and reality. Selma is too preoccupied to notice at first that Kroyf seems to be pining and moping. He hasn't gone and fallen in love with her, has he?

Selma stumbles across a miracle ointment that could be the solution to the team's injury problems. Everything seems to be working out perfectly, until they discover that the ointment is classed as doping agent, and a control officer pays them a visit. Now they really have to act quickly. Selma realizes that she has to think outside the box, but her plan requires everyone on the team to make sacrifices, including Vanko, who's in trouble because of gambling debts and is under pressure to fix a game.
The time has come for the final game. It stays between Nöbberup and Vinninge BK.The team that wins will continue, the one that lose has to quit their business.
