Season 1:
A bank robbery shocks a small Flemish town. The robbers barricade themselves inside and hold a number of bank employees and customers hostage. The police arrive on the premises and try to contain the situation. Negotiations begin.
Dawn in a small Flemish town. Two robbers make their way to a bank branch, where they take staff members, one customer and two children hostage. The perpetrators then wait for the police to arrive to make clear their demands.
A shooting incident threatens to escalate the situation. Ivo wants to know what exactly is going on inside the bank; Ibrahim has a hard time negotiating; and Vos cannot stop thinking about her sick father.
The robbers press the hostages to get as much money as possible to a safe place, but not every hostage is willing to help. When the police take drastic action, it looks like things might get out of hand.
Vos is forced off the case against her will, but the affair keeps nagging at her. She is convinced something’s not quite right. Eventually, she makes a startling discovery that throws a new light on things.
One of the hostages clearly knows more about the situation, but the hostages seem to put their trust in one another. At the same time, the robbers get a surprise visit, while Susan faces a thorny dilemma.
The police secretly penetrate the bank in an effort to free the hostages, and see their suspicions confirmed. At the same time, Arne has great trouble keeping press and public in the dark about the whole operation.
The police are closing in on the robbers, who are growing increasingly nervous. They try to do a runner, but Walter and Noor fight back. At the same time, Serge faces a major confrontation.
Noor has gone missing. A search party is sent out for her. Ibrahim and his colleagues have started interviewing the released hostages, and Ibrahim is convinced one of them is lying.
An all-out effort is made to find Noor. Meanwhile, Elias and his henchmen devise a plan for divvying up the money, but the outcome is not positive for all.
The denouement is near. Police and robbers are confronted head-on and the situation deteriorates into another hostage-taking. Nerves are taut and the situation is explosive.
Elias and Tommy had no other choice but to hide inside Rolf’s house, which is being surrounded by the police. They try to keep their cool, but lies and unexpected disoveries drive things to boiling point.
