The Publicist (2017)
Rey is a talented actor whose career is rapidly going down the drain as a result of various self-inflicted scandals ruining his reputations. Erika, being Rey's manager and best friend, alongside with Javier her entourage; desperately struggle to restore Rey's image. They seek help in Julia Tanjung, a high reputation image consultant who instantly refuses Rey's case. Erika's persistency leaves Julia no choice but to hesitantly undertake the challenge despite the pressuring opposition from her good friend Robert. Julia determines to fulfill her agreement with Erika and Rey while in the process struggles to deal with her own rematerializing trauma caused by Rey's uncooperative manners. Will Julia and Rey work out their differences? Or Will Robert succeeds in changing Julia's mind to terminating her contract with Rey and Erika?

Season 1:
Rey, a washed up actor has reached a new low after inflicted in a drug case. Erika, his friend-manager, asks for help from Julia Tanjung, an image consultant who refused the offer rightaway. But Erika won't give up and willing to do anything to make Julia help Rey. Will Julia finally help Rey?
Finally with Erika’s persistent persuasion, Julia agrees to help Rey. Although the decision is strongly opposed by Robert, a billionaire businessman who is a good friend of Julia. Erika tries to land a job for Rey, who repeatedly ruins his own chance. Julia suggests Rey to be involved in a theatre production to prove his acting skills. The idea pisses Rey off. Julia, having watched Rey’s performance in one of his movies; insisted that it is Rey’s only chance. Can Julia convince Rey to perform at a theatre?
Rey’s theatre performance is a huge success. Julia, Erika, and Javier are more motivated in fixing Rey’s image. Jobs are starting to roll in, including starring in a web series for an upcoming YouTuber. Again, Rey acts up – this time in the name of defending Julia. A film producer cancels Rey’s audition. What makes Rey lose his chance?
Robert accepts Julia’s bet that Rey will pass the movie audition. Javier’s hoax post causes tension between Julia and Rey. When things get better between Rey and Julia, Rey once again trips himself in another legal case. What trouble did Rey cause this time?
Julia makes a decision to help Rey out by releasing a statement that shocks everyone including Robert. After all the pressure Julia’s had for the day, Rey barges in her house confronting her about her recent statement and causing another heated argument between the two of them.
The surfacing competition between Robert and Rey starts heating up. Rey instructs Erika and Javier to take over Julia’s works. Rey’s sudden heart-pouring confuses both Erika and Julia.
Robert expresses his concern regarding the noticable growing relation between Julia and Rey. Rey prepares himself for a film screentest callback with the help of Julia. Julia starts to realize that Erika has been hiding her real feelings. Will Rey score himself a role in the Hollywood movie he’s been eyeing for?
Rey expresses his feelings towards Julia in the middle of the screentest. Erika listens in shock and runs away. Julia makes a sacrifice to land yet one last chance for another screentest for Rey. Will Rey be able to prove himself this time?
After the success of The Java Rhapsody, Rey gives Julia a surprise visit to Japan. In the middle of a heart to heart between the two, Julia realizes how much they love each other. Will Rey succeed in persuading Julia to come back to Indonesia with him?
Rey acts out after his trip to Japan, degrading back to his old self. Which leads to an incident leaving him submitted in to the hospital. To his surprise, Julia once again comes into the picture to take care of him. Will their love renew, especially after Robert presents her a life-changing offer?
Julia has a heart-to-heart consulting to Erika regarding Robert’s offer, although Robert’s hard convincing to Julia overpowers Erika’s advice. Rey again loses his temper over Julias’s decision. Will Rey’s attempts able to change Julia’s mind?
Rey arrives in a shooting location to find a breaking news online striking down Julia’s image. Robert steps up denying the unpleasant news. Rey; refuses to be outdone and fully convinced that it’s all hoax, also defends Julia in front of the press. In his disbelief, Rey is faced with some proves about the news. What exactly is the spreading headline ruining Julia Tanjung’s image?
Julia leaves all the chaos and commotion behind and leads a new life in Japan. Finally, aware of his regrets, Rey plays all his last cards to win Julia back. Robert realizing the heated competition between Rey and himself soon takes action. Will Julia finally be able to make the decision of her life?
