The Flying Tire (2009)
A tire comes off a moving truck and becomes a deadly weapon, hitting a mother and child. The problem was caused by the vehicle manufacturer's failure to recall the vehicle, but the blame falls on the head of the delivery company who, despairing, searches for evidence that the recall was suppressed. Crossing paths with banks, police, weekly magazine writers, the victim's family, and various others, he eventually gets to the truth of the matter.

Season 1:
Akamatsu's delivery company gets investigated after a fatal accident involving a runaway tire. Sawada of Hope Motors learns about a recall cover-up.
Akamatsu contacts Sawada to get the truck's hub back to conduct an independent investigation. Sawada starts to look for evidence of the cover-up.
Akamatsu finds himself in a bind when the victim's husband files a civil lawsuit and an employee resigns. Enomoto continues to work on her scoop.
Sawada has been moved to a different department. Akamatsu and his employees become despondent when Enomoto's article does not appear in the magazine.
Akamatsu has brought in irrefutable evidence of falsified reports. While Sawada is astonished, Kano moves to deal with the problem.
