Season 1:
Separated during India’s partition, two families plan to reunite through an arranged marriage. But, will a handsome uptown hunk Zaroon agree to marry a religiously inclined Kainat?
Unaware of her identity, Zaroon accompanies Saltanat in an eventful road trip from the airport to Ajmer. Later, he is charmed by her exuberance when they visit the Dargah.
Saltanat and Zaroon set out on an exciting tour of the city. Later, she helps him catch a train while their bonding leaves Kainat suspicious.
Zaroon saves Saltanat from falling down the stairs while Miyajaan prepares to welcome some guests. Later, Saltanat is puzzled when Zaroon visits her house.
Saltanat meets Zaroon and tells him that Kainat is her sister, who he is to marry. However, Zaroon surprises her by confessing his feelings.
Kainat confronts Saltanat for secretly meeting Zaroon. Later, Zaroon and his parents are shocked to meet Kainat. Why?
Zaroon secretly meets Kainat and makes a heartbreaking confession. Later, Saltanat feels shattered by his intentions.
When Kainat injures her finger, Saltanat is made to try the wedding ring. Later, Zaroon interrupts the Lal Khat ritual to ask Miyajaan a strange question.
Miyajaan and his family are shocked by Zaroon's unexpected declaration. Later, Kainat feels shattered while Zaroon vows to fulfil Mamun's dream.
Miyajaan stops Zaroon from reading the Namaz. Later, they get embroiled in a spat.
Zaroon seeks Saltanat's help to convince their families for marriage while Hamja provokes Kainat against Saltanat. Later, Rubina puts forth an unexpected condition.
Kainat is hurt by Zaroon's interest in Saltanat while he announces his decision. Later, Miyajaan puts forth a new demand for Zaroon's marriage.
Zaroon reaffirms his love to Saltanat while Kainat approaches Miyajaan for advice. Later, Kainat announces her final decision in front of everyone.
Kainat allows Zaroon to marry Saltanat while Miyajaan is unhappy with her decision. Later, the bitterness between Kainat and Saltanat grows further.
Zainab stops Zaroon's virasat ceremony, which leaves everyone shocked. Later, Zaroon attempts to convince Kainat.
