A neurology patient swears he witnessed a murder inside the hospital. But without a corpse, it's hard to believe! A very delicate case to manage for Déa, because the head of department, Vincent Laubier, in addition to being her ex-husband, seems to hide things from her.
A man in the middle of divorce proceedings is found murdered. Déa and Matthieu then pose as a couple in order to infiltrate a law firm with very particular methods. Except that Déa suspects her brand new partner of investigating her quietly...
A young tattoo artist with a promising future is found hanged. Déa does not buy the thesis of suicide, but Jeanne, the coroner, cannot determine if it is really a perfect crime. Between his troubled past and his surprising new life, the victim will take our cops from surprise to revelation.
Stupor at the end of the performance of Romeo and Juliet: the young actress does not get up, really poisoned... as in Shakespeare's play. Déa and Matthieu investigate in an unconventional theatre school: cruel jealousies, guru teacher and blackmail of privacy, everything seems allowed... Until the crime?
The companion of André de Brunetier, at the head of a large wine estate, was defenestrated. Coincidence or curse? His first wife had committed suicide in the same place four years earlier. Déa had conducted the investigation at the time, and here she is back to finally unravel the mysteries of this mysterious family...
The owner of a toy factory was murdered. Xavier Cuenot, the handyman of the company, intrigues our investigators. He is a ventriloquist who never leaves Billy, his disturbing puppet. If Déa and Jimmy are sensitive to this particular attachment, for Matthew, radical Cartesian, things get complicated when all the clues point to the wooden puppet!
Massimo Versini, Déa's father, witnesses a murder and becomes a target for the fugitive assassin. Matthew takes matters into his own hands, while Déa discovers that his father has always been hiding things from him. At the heart of a unique investigation under high tension, she will have to face her greatest pain and plunge back into the past.
