Season 1:
In the near future, gifted neuropsychologist Eadie Boulay is desperate to conceive a child. Faced with next level climate change, the question of bringing a child into the world is a whole lot more complicated than it used to be.
Eadie’s desperation to conceive leads to a dangerous bargain with Shay. Her offer to take his National Service days at one of the city’s Resettlement Centres will seem a small price to pay for the chance to have a child.
Eadie’s deception runs deeper as the pregnancy progresses and she needs to make good on her offer to take Shay’s National Service days at one of the city’s emergency Resettlement Centres.
Eadie’s drive to help Rachel find her family lost in the storm gives her a front row view of what people are experiencing further out in the hot zones.
As Ivy stares down an uncertain future, her mood hits the skids and Lloyd looks to Shay to step up into his godfatherly role and help her find her feet.
Lloyd and Eadie find themselves in the bombed remains of their relationship now that Eadie’s pregnancy has finally been revealed. But Lloyd can sense Eadie’s still hiding something from him.
Eadie and the Latus have crossed a dangerous line and keeping them out of the hands of Border Authorities is going to cost more than they imagined.
As an unprecedented heatwave grips the city, Eadie stares down the possibility that the cost of her gamble will be the Latu’s future, the loss of her marriage and now the chance that her babies’ health is at risk.
