Summer 2007, Finland. While the Kurtti are spending their annual holidays in their cabins in the land of a thousand lakes, the family is struck by a tragedy: Tommi, 2 years old, is killed by a gunshot. Elias, a 12-year-old neighbour, is blamed for the death of the child. 12 years later, the family receives a threatening anonymous letter and the secrets start to unravel, and show how far each of them are willing to go for their loved ones.

Season 1:
Risto and Seppo Kurtti receive a threatening letter that takes them back to nightmare from 12 years before. In 2007, Kurtti family has gathered at a summer cottage to celebrate Midsummer. The neighbor's lonely son Elias spies on them.
Risto receives a new threat message while on a holiday in Greece. An unknown young couple takes Kalle to climbing. In Finland, Seppo meets Elias' father. In 2007, Midsummer celebration will end sadly.
Frightened Seppo comes to Greece. Risto believes Leon is actually Elias. Anna and Tytti have a mysterious company in a party. In 2007, everyone awakes to Midsummer's Day in intense atmosphere. Elias has an argument about the knife with his father.
Leo takes Kalle to climbing again. Concerned Mikko goes after him. In 2007, Seppo losts his 2-year old son while suffering of a hangover. Elias is accused of the accident.
Mikko is searching for the climbers in panic. Risto tries to bribe Nina and Leo into leaving. Anna and Tytti introduce their boyfriends. In 2007, Elias is found guilty and taken into custody at the parents' request.
Seppo returns to Finland in a hurry. Tytti and Anna have gone missing. Tragedy happens in Greece, but who is to blame in the end?
