Season 1:
In February 1821, the Greek mainland was already in a revolutionary turmoil. So, warlords, Christian notables and clergymen called the first secret meetings to organize and set the starting date of the Revolution.
In the first assemblies after the start of the Revolution, Greeks organized a kind of local governments to better coordinate the Struggle. But it soon became clear that a central political administration was needed.
In the first three years of the Struggle, two National Assemblies took place, the first two Constitutions were voted and Korinthos was named the state’s capital. But, along also came the first conflicts over power...
As civil wars continued and military operations were in a critical point, two new National Assemblies were organized in 1827 and 1829, respectively. In these, the foundations for the running of the state were laid.
