A South African Afrikaans soap opera. It is set in and around the fictional private hospital, Binneland Kliniek, in Pretoria, and the storyline follows the trials, trauma and tribulations of the staff and patients of the hospital.

Season 20:
Louis' snoring reaches a turning point. Sam's strange behavior leaves a few people wondering. Tracy wants to get back on her own two feet.
Uys pep talks Tracy about Tertius and she takes a big step. Naomi gets somewhat restless in her current job, and Ciska discovers Sam has bigger problems than anyone suspects.
Ciska asks Sam about his nightmare, Tertius and Tracy both want to move on, and Naomi wants to be a nurse again.
Tertius discovers where Tracy and Leah are living, and Ciska tries to force Sam to reveal the truth about his situation. Love is in the air!
Ciska has something up her sleeve, but is caught red-handed. Brenda threatens to stop Sam's treatment, and a certain couple renew their vows during an emotional ceremony.
Sam's port wine birth mark causes more chaos in several people's lives. Karen's struggle with events in her recent past drive her to extremes, and Tracy is forced to face reality.
Karen's state of mind worsens by the day. Steve wants to continue with Sam's treatment, without the necessary documents. Bronwyn battles to get a meeting with Conrad.
Nicolette gives Ciska an ultimatum. Bronwyn gets her times wrong, and Uys is worried about Karen.
A patient and a nurse is missing. The pressure is too much when Bronwyn has to give a presentation, and while Karen hides from Louis, Uys tries his best to be a supportive friend.
Tertius is concerned about Bronwyn, and Uys and Elise have a plan to help Karen. Sam opens up toward Ciska, and she realises she made a huge mistake.
Everyone works together to achieve the best outcome for Sam. Bronwyn admits what is really going on, and Karen hears from the police.
Nicolette comes to a surprising insight about herself. Uys and Elise's effort does not look like it is going to bear fruit, and someone from Naomi's past unexpectedly pops up at Binneland.
Bronwyn keeps a cheery front even though her symptoms are worsening. A brave young teen gives Karen some valuable insights. Tertius wants a certain doctor to work in the ER, but Naomi feels uneasy.
The news of a possible new ER doctor might pose a problem. Vicky plays Cupid, and Bronwyn's symptoms are cause for concern.
Nicolette apologizes to Steve for her behavior, and the new ER doctor is afraid to face the Binnelanders on her first day at work.
Karen enjoys her training sessions with Uys. Two doctors are both confused about their feelings for each other, and the new ER doctor's presence is a tough pill for most Binnelanders to swallow.
Nicolette is concerned about Bronwyn, Uys tries to comfort Karen when she gets disturbing news, and an intimate moment between two doctors is almost interrupted.
Hugo and Steve come to a shocking realization. Elise and Bonnie want to force a potential romance, and the new ER doctor has trouble finding her feet at Binneland.
Bronwyn's diagnosis is a big shock for everybody, and two more Binnelanders become aware of their feelings for each other. The new ER doctor refuses to be intimidated by doctor Henry Louw.
Steve feels responsible for Bronwyn, but spends more time with a certain doctor. Ciska has her eye on Uys, and Louis is worried when Naomi wants to start exercising.
An injured Naomi is taken to hospital, Ciska tells Karen about her hot date for the evening, and Steve desperately wants to take care of Bronwyn.
Vicky is uncomfortable having Bronwyn around, Elise gives Uys a piece of her mind, and Bronwyn hears about Steve’s relationship.
Steve is considering a decision which Nicolette secretly cannot stomach, and a love that looked like it was going to blossom is nipped in the bud. Ella is excited about a new idea for Binneland.
Steve and Nicolette cross swords over Bronwyn, Tracy battles to find a sitter for Leah, and Tertius thinks they should look at other options. Delia tries to convince Conrad and Steve to appoint Naomi in a new position.
Delia surprises Naomi with a work proposal that she cannot, and will not refuse. Tracy has to make a difficult decision regarding Leah, and Bronwyn is confronted with the stark reality of a care unit.
Naomi looks forward to her first day back at work, Tertius tries to comfort Tracy after leaving Leah at the crèche, and Bronwyn begs Nicolette for help.
Bronwyn tries to put Steve’s mind at ease, and Tracy feels like she’s letting Leah down. Naomi tries assisting with an emergency.
Tracy is in an emotional turmoil over Leah’s rash, driving her to find the cause. Thalia is on a mission to find out what Conrad thinks about Ella, and Steve realises he should apologize to Nicolette.
A difficult patient might have a connection with one of Binneland’s doctors, and Steve admits something to Delia that has her terribly stressed. Binneland gets a new paediatrician.
Uys reads LJ the riot act, and Steve realises Bronwyn has not been honest with him. Doctor Fortuin suspects what the cause of Leah’s rash is, and Delia and Conrad are concerned about an offer.
Ella makes Robert an impromptu offer that she almost immediately regrets. Steve’s career decision comes as a surprise to everybody, and Tracy wages a semi-manic war against peanuts.
Ella tries to take back her offer, Nicolette is shocked when she finds out about Steve’s decision, and Tracy feels despondent after a visit to Leah’s pediatrician.
One of Binneland’s doctor’s starts saying goodbye, Ella and Uys are at loggerheads about LJ, and everyone is more supportive than Tracy expected.
Tracy and Kristien are very nervous before Fiona’s course, and Ella is cautious about her new flatmate. Thalia and LJ share an awkward moment.
Uys gives Ella advice about LJ, and Naomi is concerned about Thalia’s relationship with LJ. Conrad asks for Delia’s advice regarding an unexpected offer, and Nicolette is frustrated with her situation.
Ella is almost at the end of her rope with LJ, and Uys tries to be supportive. Naomi sees it as her duty to protect Thalia against “bad boys” like LJ, and At is not impressed with what’s happening between Conrad and a colleague.
Tracy tries to involve Conrad more, especially after an awkward situation with Delia. Naomi sees an unpleasant side to LJ, and Karen pressures Uys to support Nicolette.
Ella confronts LJ about his suspicious behaviour, Conrad struggles not to strangle Lukas, and Annetjie feels overwhelmed when a friend is admitted to hospital.
Ella and Naomi argue about LJ, and Tertius invites a last minute guest to Leah’s dedication. At receives bad news.
At tries to convince Laetitia to go through with an operation, Ella is on the back foot when LJ stirs up trouble at school, and Delia is curious about a case Lukas is working on.
LJ refuses to be honest with Ella, and Nicolette hears a famous surgeon is coming to talk to the registrars. Lukas is getting closer to finding Laetitia, and Delia still does not know that Laetitia is At’s wife.
Naomi and Louis forbid Thalia from having anything to do with LJ, and Max is impressed by Nicolette’s quick action. At puts plans in place to hide Laetitia, and Lukas has a narrow escape.
Nicolette proves herself to be quite the operator in her attempt to ensure that she qualifies for the January intake of registrars, and Delia is shocked when her suspicions regarding Gretha Havenga are confirmed.
Delia wants to confront Conrad about Laetitia, Thalia tries to convince LJ that he needs to tell Ella the truth, and a nervous Annetjie prepares for the knit-marathon.
Things are not looking great for Nicolette, Laetitia tells her side of the story, and Ella has had enough of LJ.
Nicolette waits nervously for the results of her hand’s X-rays. At’s new idea to keep Laetitia safe horrifies Delia. Ella confronts Ms Woods for the last time.
At and Conrad lie to Lukas to lead him off Laetitia’s track, and Tracy hears Gaby is coming to visit. Ella tries to convince Naomi that LJ wants to make things right with Thalia.
Can an acorn be romantic? LJ has a few plans, but Thalia has her doubts after a conversation with Ella. Delia feels guilty about Lukas and Conrad comforts her.
Tertius has second thoughts about his invite when Gaby moves in with them. Thalia comes out with the truth about the prelim party, and the electricity between two Binnelanders is tangible.
Louis and Naomi blame LJ for what happened to Thalia, Delia is upset when she cannot find Lukas, and Gaby worries that she overstayed her welcome.
Thalia is LJ’s last hope. Delia shocks Conrad and At with her answer. Gaby makes a move.
Delia makes a big breakthrough, and Conrad has a surprise for her. Uys has to admit he was wrong, and Karen is upset with Gaby. LJ starts to come to terms with who his mother was.
LJ wants to spend another day with Thalia, but Ella won’t have any of it. Not everyone is equally excited about Delia’s new appointment, and Tertius is unimpressed to learn there’s a new doctor in Casualties.
Delia is at breaking point, and Annetjie isn’t making life easier for her. When a VIP is admitted to Binneland, the tension is explosive.
Gaby struggles with the moral dilemma of saving someone’s life, Ella feels insecure about the new doctor’s presence, and Annetjie has trouble with her wisdom teeth.
The news of Binneland’s infamous patient leads to unrest. Delia receives a strange request from a colleague, and Uys plays a prank on a colleague.
Binneland is in lockdown, no-one gets in or out. Annetjie is shocked to hear people think she borrowed money, and Gaby makes a plan.
Gaby is driven to talk to a patient - with or without Rian’s help. Annetjie feels guilty about someone’s money, and Nicolette is curious about the connection between two doctors.
Rian is hiding something, and Annetjie would do anything for Delia. Ella is worried that LJ might be depressed, and friendly competition continues in the ER.
Delia’s heart breaks for Annetjie, and Nicolette warns someone to toe the line. A casual comment from Karen gives Gaby an idea.
Ella asks Uys’ help with LJ, and Delia tries to make Annetjie’s life easier. Gaby takes drastic measures to get face to face with a patient.
An elevator crisis comes to a dramatic end, and Tertius is furious with Gaby. Delia must decide where her priorities lie, and two doctors see everything as a competition.
LJ sustains another injury, and the police investigates someone’s death. Gaby has to share some bad news.
A risky step is taken, but hopefully for the right reasons. Shocking news is received from Sudan, and Annetjie takes an interesting decision regarding her career.
Nicolette catches two doctors red-handed. Gaby is the main suspect in a murder investigation, but Rian is determined to prove her innocence.
Annetjie takes charge at Binneland, to Delia’s relief. Rian and Tertius confront Stewart, and are shocked by his answer. Ella is furious with Joe when she finds out LJ is sick.
Delia finds it difficult to reign eager Annetjie in. Tertius and Rian struggle to convince Gaby of their suspicions regarding Malik’s murder.
Gaby tries her best to convince Tertius and Rian that they are wrong. Ella tries to comfort a panic-stricken LJ, and Annetjie makes new enemies.
Gaby wants to confront Stewart, Delia decides to have a word with Annetjie, and LJ tells Joe more about himself.
Rian realises he is going to have to report the consortium, and Gaby suddenly sings a different tune. LJ lands up in the ER, and the culprit is finally caught.
The bank keeps bothering Tracy during a difficult day with Leah. Karen feels more and more depressed by her day-to-day routine, and Delia wonders about Conrad.
Tracy searches desperately for answers about the mysterious money in her bank account. Karen is ready for a new chapter in her life, and Thalia considers asking LJ to her matric farewell.
A misunderstanding causes confusion between Delia and Conrad when he returns from Nairobi. Tracy cannot trace her mother and makes a decision that upsets Tertius.
Tracy tries desperately to find her mother, Uys accidentally reveals his biggest secret, and Thalia makes a decision about her matric farewell.
Uys realises Karen has seen something, Conrad discovers that Max made a few changes, and Tracy does not believe a word her mother says.
Tertius feels stuck between a rock and a hard place. The Binnelanders greet one of their beloved colleagues, and Conrad’s strange behavior frustrates Delia.
Elise is worried about Uys’ state of mind, Annetjie is a little overwhelmed when Delia gives her an important task, and Thalia and LJ are both equally uneasy with each other.
Not everyone is equally happy with Elise’s appointment. Uys suffers an uncomfortable injury, and Louis’ mother surprises him. Joe’s mother unnerves Tracy.
Tracy’s nerves are pulled to shreds by an investigation, and Louis has a plan up his sleeve. Uys and Elise both struggle to face their true feelings.
Delia confronts Elise about a patient’s complaint, and Louis tries his best to convince his wife to go to an exotic island with him.
Yvonne’s investigation is getting warmer, and Uys realises he is not cut out to be a surgeon. Conrad invites Ella and LJ for dinner, and Annetjie hears about it.
Continuous denial takes its toll on a lot of people, and Thalia avoids an uncomfortable situation. Uys needs to function on all cylinders.
Uys keeps on working harder, and Ella suspects LJ and Thalia like each other more than they are willing to admit. Annetjie is adamant that Conrad and Delia should solve their personal problems with each other.
Captain Olivier drops a bomb, and Uys starts to reconsider his career when he realises he is good with children. Delia tries to find out from Ella if she and Conrad are having a fling.
Lukas puts pieces of a fraud puzzle together, revealing shocking facts. Tracy is at breaking point. Conrad plays an unusual role in the lives of Thalia and LJ.
Conrad is desperately trying to find someone to help Thalia with shopping, and Annetjie experiences a very sad day. Joe and Fiona meet again.
