Season 1:
Sam's old friend, an actor turned insurance salesman, comes to town in order to get back into show business.
Sam forgets to invite Fred to his party, so he tries to hide it from him.
Sam and Fred try to find out where the key Ruth found while redecorating fits. They find it is the house key of a beautiful blonde.
An 84-year-old gunslinger challenges Sam to a shootout when he dislikes the way Sam had him portrayed on his TV show.
Ruth is jealous of Sam's old girlfriend who has a kissing part in Sam's show. Matters get worse when they are handcuffed together and can't get apart.
Sam gives a part to a famous Mexican actor - who can't speak a word of English.
