Season 1:
Be Man’s agreed term of five years as a military prosecutor is about to end, and that’s when Cha Woo In joins the department as the new military prosecutor. She acts and speaks differently from other ordinary newcomers, and Be Man right away senses that she’s hiding something. Be Man makes sure that she stays quiet until he’s discharged, but Woo In doesn’t seem to care.
Knowing that things could get ugly if people find out about Allen’s disappearance, No Tae Nam suggests to Yong Moon Gu that he bring in Be Man for the dirty job. While tracking down Allen, Be Man realizes that his chore has something to do with Tae Nam and also that a girl with red hair could be responsible for the disappearance.
Be Man discovers a new lead that connects Woo In to Allen’s abduction. While doing so, he gets an opportunity to work under Chairman No Tae Nam, but the opportunity comes at a heavy cost. Be Man believes that his days after the discharge are set, but everything suddenly starts to fall apart.
Woo In doesn’t hesitate to show Be Man who she really is, and Be Man finds it difficult to get a grasp of the situation. With only a few days remaining until discharge, Be Man struggles to figure out where everything started to go wrong. Meanwhile, for her own sake, Hwa Young instructs Moon Gu to enlist Tae Nam in the army and takes her son under her wing.
Woo In’s words are not convincing enough to persuade Be Man to risk everything to help her. However, Woo In realizes that he will eventually return to her. Meanwhile, Woo In prepares for a military court case regarding No Tae Nam. The two seem to have gone their separate ways, but a scuffle with No Hwa Young brings back Be Man’s forgotten memory from his tragic accident.
Do Be Man returns to the army as a military prosecutor, and this time, he has a motive to stay. Not only that, he swears that he will assist Woo In in carrying out her revenge. But to Woo In’s eyes, Be Man seems to be hiding something. As expected, Be Man gets caught having a secret meeting with Yong Moon Gu. Either way, they need to chase down Tae Nam who has fled the army.
Be Man and Woo In manage to arrest Tae Nam who was on the run, and his arrest signals the beginning of their revenge. Their first target is Won Ki Choon. Be Man believes that Ki Choon is not someone who others believe him to be. With reporters watching, Be Man chooses to take a risky maneuver in proving his point. However, it is too late when he realizes his mistake.
Be Man and Woo In are called to a disciplinary hearing after publicly making a huge mistake. However, they still believe that there is a need for the investigation to continue. As they continue with the investigation in their own ways, the true identity of the so-called Mine Hero disgusts both Be Man and Woo In.
Justice is closing in on Won Ki Choon as people related to the case come forward with the truth. Be Man also pressures Ki Choon to do the right thing and stand against No Hwa Young. Eventually, Ki Choon meets face-to-face with Hwa Young and requests the proper treatment that he deserves. Meanwhile, Hwa Young tries to deal with the risky situation in her usual way.
After the shocking death of Won Ki Choon, Be Man and Woo In turn to the next best option and go through crucial evidence that Ki Choon has been keeping. Be Man believes that there is something fishy going on at Hong Moo Sup’s official residence and sets him as his next target. However, Woo In is not on board with the idea of an aggressive investigation and tells Be Man to back off.
Be Man finally confronts Hwa Young face-to-face, and at the same time, Woo In greets Moon Gu at one of the IM’s offices. With their plans on the verge of being exposed, the two start gearing up for their next move. Meanwhile, to make up for his mistake, Be Man tries to maintain the right to investigate the bullying case. However, Hwa Young already has her plans to manipulate the court.
Be Man and Woo In figure out the details regarding Commanding General Hong’s abuse of power right before the trial. Although they make their utmost effort to prove Shin’s innocence, it is hardly likely that the trial will proceed with fairness. Meanwhile, Woo In gets a phone call from an unexpected caller.
The court’s ruling favored Be Man and Woo In, and it’s inevitable that there will be internal conflicts within the Patriotic Society. As expected by Be Man, he is contacted by Hong Moo Sup and retrieves crucial information that will possibly tear down the Patriotic Society. Meanwhile, for some reason, Woo In can no longer reach Kang Ha Jun, and at the same time, a horrifying event takes place at GOP 14.
Be Man and Woo In get ready for the trial regarding the shooting spree at GOP. They focus on revealing whether there was hazing involved with the shooter. However, those who are responsible for the abuse play innocent as if they had nothing to do with it. Meanwhile, Yong Moon Gu seals the deal with IM Defense in order to retrieve the X-File, and at the same time, Hwa Young requests that Tae Nam give a false statement.
With the help of Tae Nam’s testimony, the prosecutors regain the upper hand. On top of that, Be Man and Woo In now see the situation as a chance to wipe out Patriotic Society once and for all. Meanwhile, Moon Gu’s plans to become IM’s owner fail when an unwelcome guest shows himself at the shareholders’ meeting.
The sound of battle has now faded away, and the military prosecutors and Tae Nam are brought to the emergency room. Only time will tell whether they will survive the critical condition. Meanwhile, Moon Gu makes a last-ditch effort to escape conviction. Be Man and Woo In also prepare for the last battle of the war.
