Working Girl (1990)
Working Girl is an American sitcom that aired on NBC from April to July 1990. Loosely based on the 1988 film of the same name starring Melanie Griffith, the series stars Sandra Bullock as Tess McGill, in a role that was initially meant for Nancy McKeon. A secretary becomes a junior executive after charming the company owner.

Season 1:
Having been denied the opportunity to vie for an executive position by her power-hungry boss, Tess McGill submits her own résumé under a male pseudonym.
Tess's life long BFF, Lana, is getting married and Tess thinks she is settling because Lana feels all she can be is a house-wife.
Sal begins dating Tess's boss Bryn which brings up feelings Sal and Tess have been denying for years.
Tess' involvement in her job causes her to neglect friends.
